To the Doniphan Branch Railway

The local museum in Council Bluffs has a nice collection of equipment some of which can be seen here.
That's a Union Pacific caboose hideing out as a Rock Island.

I'm not sure this is an error, but the caption on RI 17130, Council Bluffs, IA, seems to imply that its not a real RI caboose.   However, it was a RI caboose before the RI folded and it went to UP (24548) who had leased it to RI in anticipation of a merger that didn't take place.   Roger Kirkpatrick

The former Rock Island depot is now the museum.   I promise I didn't stage this shot.   It was just there for the taking.

Also around town we found these two cabooses and completely forgot about the MP SBW caboose hid out in the woods.
