I am a sixth generation railroader on both sides of my family.   I move around a lot but mainly stay on the NLR - Dexter run.   The question that I have is on the front cover of the forum there is a picture of three men on the front of a MOP engine.   The man on the left is my grandfather Gene Thornton, the man in the middle is George Ransom, and the other man I am not sure of.   I would like to know how I can get a copy of it, and where they may have got the picture.   Thanks, B Bland.

The man on the left is my Father-In-Law, Gene Thornton.   Gene passed away last April.   He was 74 years old.   His Son, my Husband, has worked for the railroad for 33 years, as an engineer.   While he does complain about the long hours away from home, he does love his job, and a train doesn't pass that he doesn't stop and look at it.   Our middle Son also works for the railroad.   He is a carman.   We also have several other members of the family who work for the railroad.   They all work out of North Little Rock, AR.   Thanks, C Thornton.
